🌿 Why I Left the City to Live in a Village – And Why It’s the Best Decision I’ve Ever Made

For most people, leaving a big city to move to a village feels like taking a step backward.
For me, it was a step toward peace, purpose, and real growth.

Hi, I’m Priyanka – an IT professional, entrepreneur, and digital educator. I spent many years in metro cities studying, working, and building a career. I lived the fast-paced, always-on city life – just like many of you do today. And then, one day, I chose something radically different. I moved to a small village.

Not because I had to.
But because I wanted to.

🏙️ City Life: Fast, Loud… and Empty?

In cities, we chase dreams. I did too. Career goals, client meetings, deadlines, hustle culture – it was all there. But deep inside, I was asking: Is this it? Is this all life is supposed to be?

I was always busy, but rarely present. Surrounded by crowds, yet often feeling isolated. I had “everything” – but not peace.

🌾 Village Life: Calm, Connected, and Full of Purpose

Moving to the village gave me something I didn’t even know I was missing: clarity.
Here, mornings begin with birdsong instead of alarms. People greet you by name, not by email. And the air… it smells like freedom.

But let me be honest – when I moved, I received a lot of judgment:

  • “Why are you wasting your time in the village?”
  • “Are you okay? Is this a downfall?”
  • “You studied so much… and now you’re living there?”

They didn’t understand it. And that’s okay. Because I didn’t move here to impress. I moved here to live.

💻 Working Remotely from a Village: Yes, It’s Possible

A woman in a yellow outfit working on a laptop while seated outside a rural home, with children playing in the background.
A woman working on her laptop in a tranquil village setting, surrounded by nature and children playing outside.

What many people don’t realize is: you don’t need a city to build a career.
All you need is a laptop, internet, and a clear vision.

From my village home, I:

  • Run an online tutoring platform – Onlinetutrio.com
  • Help clients with digital marketing and website projects
  • Guide and recruit tech professionals across the globe (remoteittalent.com)
  • Plan workshops to help rural youth and women learn digital skills

So no, I’m not disconnected.
I’m more connected than ever – to myself, to my community, and to the world.

🔄 Changing the Narrative: Village is Not Backward

My mission now is to break this old belief that village living = no growth.
I want to show:

  • You can run an online business from a small rural home
  • You can teach, learn, and earn – all from here
  • You can inspire and uplift others while enjoying a slower, fuller life

I’m not here to escape the world.
I’m here to build a new one – from the roots up.

🌟 The New Vision: Digital + Rural = Powerful

Imagine if more people returned to villages with their knowledge, energy, and ideas.
Imagine connecting rural India to global opportunities through tech, education, and creativity.
That’s not a dream – that’s a revolution in the making.

And I’m proud to be part of it.
